Wow…what a different kind of Service we had on Sunday…candles…low lights…communion…worship of our Lord and Savior in progressive order…meaning.
We know him as “Jesus Messiah” and we know that “Your Love is Amazing” to knowing that His love is “Forever”!!
Now here’s the question…did we engage Him or did we allow change to distract us? Distraction happens all the time…life events…issues come up…life happens.
But we must be sure that we stay focused on what God has done and is doing for us everyday.
In 4 John, we talked about how Jesus focused on that which was most important… when was talking with a lady…I use that word loosely…
Jesus didn’t think about what others would think about him…he didn’t care about the rules of religious people…He just wanted to invest in someone’s life so that they would find real life…through Him.
Jesus knew that she had become less than what she was created to be…that’s all of us…He is the restorer of our messed up hearts and lives…if we the read the rest of the that passage we see that more than her life was changed.
The challenge for the week was this.
Who has God placed in our lives that we need to show “unselfish love” to? See them, love them as Jesus would.
Our purposes at Journey Church is to…passionately love God…unselfishly love others and compassionately serve the community.
Let’s not forget… that this is our DNA from Jesus...Matthew 22, Matthew 28
