New Steps into the Journey

I have been putting off writing this email for what seems to be months…I know it only has been a few weeks.

Let’s take a little time to review what has been happening at Journey Church over the last few months.

  • Started with 18 people in August of 2008…we averaging over 105 now (Feb 09)
  • People are joining Journey as they learn about the passion that God has for them
  • Journey folks are investing and inviting their families and friends to know God
  • Individuals are coming to Christ by faith and finding a NEW LIFE in Him!!
  • Over thirty children are meeting at Journey Church weekly to have a blast while they learn about Jesus and His love for them
  • Ministry Teams are developing Worship, Children’s, First Touch, Student ministry, Community Service groups and much more
  • Relationships are being formed that support and encourage others to find their hope in God… This is just small part of what has been and is happening.

So let’s review why we are here.

The heart of God for Jupiter, North Palm Beach, West Palm and all of PBC is to bring: a restored hope, love and passion for life to individuals and families through a personal relationship with Him.

How does He do this? Through you and me…the body of Christ (2 Cor 5) . Over the next six weeks we are preparing to launch Journey Church into the community. We will be launching (going public) on Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday with two services.

The first service will be at 9:00am and the second will be at 10:30am. Our goal is to pack out each service with 150+ people each service. We are going to need EVERYONE to take part in these services… serve at one, and worship in the other! We will be talking about the process over the next few weeks.

The Bible teaches us that we are to GO make disciples (Matthew 28). Why? Numbers…no, larger churches…I think not, so we can say look at us…definitely not!!

One reason…God Loves all of us and wants us to experience that love on a personal level (John 3). Let’s continue investing and inviting so that others might know the amazing love of God.
