When we were children we were taught some very simple rules for life. Tell the truth, don't steal, don't lie, treat others with kindness, drink your milk, and wash your hands after you go to the potty. Okay, there were some other lessons, but those stuck with me.
Now we are older and life is so much more complicated: bills to pay, sickness, war, family issues, world trails and isolation by choice. It is time that we wake up and start to re-learn what life is all about once again. How do we do that?
I think and feel that we must start to really listen to that which is most important, our hearts. We know the pain of being all alone, afraid, in shame and doubt. It is time to reach out to someone who cares about us, someone who will listen. We must take the first step, let someone in and take the risk being known.
